Our Personal Injury Team -- attorneys, legal assistants and case management assistants -- works together to handle every aspect of your claim , from obtaining PIP medical or wage loss benefits, to collecting medical records, bills and reports for comprehensive case evaluations, to working with experts on liability and damages issues.

Our legal assistants, working under the direction of our trial attorneys, carry out the day-to-day work of ensuring that every aspect of your claim is handled in a timely and thorough way. Kristin Kidd

Kristin Kidd

Kristin has worked as a legal assistant since 1990 and joined our law firm in 1992 and has been with our firm for the past 17 years. She has experience in product liability, medical malpractice, third-party worker's compensation and personal injury. She is a native Oregonian.


Amanda Ulrich

Amanda Ulrich

Amanda has been with us since 1998, and has experience in social security, personal injury, medical malpractice and third-party workers' compensation cases. She has worked exclusively on our personal injury team for a total of 6 years, and has been with the firm for 12 years. Amanda is an avid walker, and enjoys her every other day 3 mile walks.


Bruce Morris

Bruce Morris

Bruce came to work for us in early 2007 after working for more than 20 years in the law business in different capacities and in other fields. Bruce has experience in a variety of cases, including large and complex cases, from both the plaintiff and defense sides. He is a daily, year-round bicycle commuter.


Jane Alexander

Jane Alexander

Jane joined Swanson, Thomas, Coon & Newton in the fall of 2012. She comes to us from Michigan, where she worked in communications for Michigan State University after earning a bachelor's degree in journalism with a Spanish specialization from the university in 2010. Jane loves writing, running and music and has taken up hiking since moving to Oregon.


Kayla Smith

Kayla Smith

Kayla has been with the firm since 2011. She grew up in McMinnville and went on to attend Xavier University where she met her now husband. She graduated from University of Oregon in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology. She is passionate about law, specifically social justice and personal injury issues. She is a big sports fan and loves the great outdoors.
