About The Firm
MARGARET WEDDELL was born in Chicago in 1951. She attended
the University of Kansas at Lawrence and the University of Missouri at
Columbia where she received her degree in Rehabilitation. She moved to
Oregon in 1977 and went to work for Childrenís Services Division,
providing services to families in need. She worked for an insurance
company for 12 years and earned Property-Casualty Claims Law
Certification from the Insurance Institute of America. Since graduating
from Lewis & Clark Law School, she has used everything she learned from
working in the insurance industry to coordinate insurance benefits and
to obtain fair recovery for her clients.
Margaret is active in the Oregon State Bar and Oregon Trial Lawyers
Association. She has served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the
Workers' Compensation Section. She has served as Chair of the Education
Committee of the OTLA.
Away from the office, Margaret is a frequent volunteer at the
Bicycle Transportation Alliance and she is on the Board of the Community
Cycling Center in Portland.
She enjoys training for and running marathons and long distance
recreational bicycling. She has ridden from Seattle to Portland, from
Seattle to Vancouver, BC, from Portland to Astoria, from Portland to
Eugene and participated in several Cycle Oregons. She commutes by bike.
Margaret has two grown children who share her love for cycling. She
also has two cats who refuse to learn to ride.
